I cannot expect people who are basically irrational to act against the basic programming. Thinking is harder and most people do the easier thing. Resisting anger is the hardest thing I have ever done. In the last few years I have been betrayed by people into whom I poured my life’s substance. This broke my heart but it also made me find a level of anger in myself I had never known previously. Politics isn’t just local it’s personal now. The only way I can make the world a better place is to start with myself and be the change I want to see. Rational compassion for this world and the creatures in it. *

I can’t think of anything better to do with my time on this earth than travel. It’s the best thing there is to spend money and time on – bar none. Nobody can ever take away your memories you will stretch and grow your mind sprit and opportunities. Don’t spend your money on things, spend it on experiences like world travel. I have New Zealand, Australia, Europe, Mexico and 40 US National Parks locked inside my mind I spent some money and time to get to these places but what I got back was priceless. go go go go go

Just learning to mend your clothes is worthwhile, really learning to sew makes you look at all clothes through a different mindset. I learned to hand sew in elementary school and use a machine when I was in seventh grade. When I look at clothes I wonder what he pattern pieces look like, as if they were kinetic sculpture.If you can sew you can make your clothes really fit and make yourself look much better. Sewing teaches patience both with the material world and your interior world. You must learn to forgive yourself your errors, because there is no way to learn to sew without making errors regularly. Get a teacher to show you, you can’t learn, particularly in the beginning without one.
