Turns out I am really bad at walking on roofs, what with missing support beams and stepping THROUGH the roof and such :( Instead of doing it myself, I contracted a buddy to complete this for me. He did it in a couple of hours in exchange for some brews. Definitely feeling the lower temperatures inside the house. Well worth the investment.

How I did it: It took me while since I was sneaking it in between my studies, but well worth reading again. Like The 7 Habits, I may read this one again yearly. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Looked it up in a mechanic's manual I picked up in a used book store. After changing the oil and filter, I realized I liked working on cars. Since then, I have changed the transmission fluid, spark plugs, wires, rotor, distributor, air filter and will do a radiator flush this weekend.I cannot even begin to estimate how much money I have saved by doing all of this work myself. Most importantly, I feel great that I am no l… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It took a long time to join a gym this time around for a couple of reasons. I was a gym rat a few years ago and am now in terribly bad shape after four years of sedentary living, so it was daunting to start up again. It also took a lot longer to relocate for my job than I anticipated. After the move and after I conquered inertia and embarrassment, I finally joined. I now regret waiting so long, since I can already see and feel … Read how I did it…

With business so slow recently, we’ve started using credit cards more often to help with cash flow, so I had to crack open some of the ones that I thought were paid off for good. We’ve come into a bit of cash recently so we paid off a lot of the small balances that were building up, but that still leaves me with two credit cards. Oh, well. Nothing to do but keep paying down the debt until it is all gone…
Well, I’ve slacked a bit on the studying, but I’m on it now. I just took a “baseline” test and scored a 640, which is respectable but nowhere near where I want to be (well north of the 700 mark). Still, it was better than my previous test last time I started studying. Right now, I’m looking at early October as a possible test date…
