eat healthy
How I did that.

We went to Czech Republic a few weeks ago with a friend from Bulgaria. He made a biiig salad twice a day, cause thats how they do it down there. Additionally, I ate some apples and bananas and stuff, because we had a lazy time just hanging around in the nature and eating fruits is a good thing to do while lying in the grass.

Somehow, suddenly I noticed that it would be pretty easy to carry on eating lots of salads and fruits when back in Germany. So that’s what I did. It worked pretty well for about 4 weeks now. Of course I still have a pizza every now or then, but not that often anymore, and I’m trying to cook more stuff by myself, adding vegetables whenever possible. I try to eat less meat, less sweets, eat only wholemeal bread (which is the tastiest anyway; this might be a german-bakery-privilege), drink a little less beer, a lot more water, some juice when it gets boring, but keep everything easy, not like I’m on a stupid diet or anything.

I’m trying to change my habits bit by bit. works well so far :)

I dont know, it might be easier because it’s such a hot summer and i did pretty much nothing but watching the worldcup in the last weeks, but somehow it suddenly felt easy to do it.

I hope i can keep this up and running when the heat is away and autumn comes. I wrote this entry to officially make that my aim now.

Düsseldorf. Hier kann man wohnen.
Muss man aber nicht.

learn to ollie
The most important Thing I ever learned !

People, never underestimate The Power Of The Ollie !

This is the trick that opens a whole world of possibilities for you. This is a move you learn once, and then got it, for the rest of your life. This enables you to (later on) experience the feeling of airtime on your board, which is one of the most incredible feelings this world has to offer. You’ll be able to go to the local Skate-Park, approach the pyramid or funbox or whatever, and just fly over it. It gives you the power to jump up and down sidewalks, which is a basic need for cruising the streets. And it opens the wonderful world of..manuals!
My beloved Manuals! There is nothing like a smooth nose manual over a sidewalks corner or a wheeliebox!

Learn the ollie, DO IT! It’s not that difficult. You’re not too old. Let people show you. Once you can do it consistantly, you’ll start loving your board. This time, it’ll be true love!
