I have all my grandma’s and some of my great grandma’s photos. Some of the older ones (including slides) are fading. I want to scan them before they are gone. Eventually I want to be able to label them and send cd copies to my relatives.
I want to start sending more snail mail whether it be cards or letters. I’m really bad about buying stationary, cards, & postcards, starting letters, and never finishing or send them. Maybe if I send some letters, I’ll help someone smile that day. :)
According to Collecting Nancy Drew: The texts to the Nancy Drew® books come in two versions–original and revised. The first 34 volumes were in original text format–that being 25 chapters and 200 plus pages. Original texts too, included prejudices and stereotyping of the times. Beginning in 1959, the texts were revised over a period of time up until 1977. The revisions have a format of 20 chapters and around 180 pages. The revisions shortened the books and left out a lot of the prejudices and stereotypes from the original text volumes.
I am collecting the original story versions. Dust Jackets would be great but I haven’t found a single copy with one so I’m collecting those without.
I am also collecting Nancy Drew Files and Nancy Drew & Hardy Boys Super Mysteries.
I remembering the first BSC book when I was in 5th grade. The school library had books 1-10. I started buying the books that summer. When I was in 6th grade, my parents surprised me by taking me to a signing by Ann M Martin. I was so disappointed after meeting her because she didn’t even lift her head to greet anyone. We were instructed to not interact with her but to write our names down, hand our names with our books to her assistant, who would hand it to her, she would sign the books, & hand them back to the assistant.
Despite that experience, these books were my “sick day” books all through Junior High & High School.

I have tons of beads. Recently, my Granddad let me take some stones from his dad’s collection (he was a rock & shell dealer in Dallas). Yet I’ve only made about 6-7 things. I’ve only kept one thing for myself..the rest went to friends and family…mostly my mom. I need to stop buying things to make jewelry and start making jewelry. I also want to start taking pictures of things when I make them.
I have about 13 projects I still need to finish. I’m really bad about starting and not finishing. :(
Planning on going back to PEI in 2008 for the 100th Anniversary of the publication of ‘Anne of Green Gables’. Might be going to The Philippines in 2009 with relatives. I want to travel in Europe someday.
According to my book database, I have 215 books in my ‘To Be Read’ piles (yes, piles). This is not including all the books I’ve bought and/or traded since Oct.
According to my last bank statement, I have spent over $300 more than I deposited. If my estimates are right I should have over $600 left per month after paying all my bills & estimated extra costs. My dad died last year & my bank account has slowly decreased from my increased spending habits. Some of it, I don’t even know or remember what I spent it on!
I’ve been following the SparkPeople plan. I haven’t really lost weight—just inches. My mom & I have been walking regularly since July. I’ve been told that it is noticeable in my face & neck. I notice it in my shoulders and feet. I wish it was noticeable in places people besides me actually see!
To snag a term from The Flylady, I live in CHAOS, ‘Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome’. My apartment is a mess. I can’t find things. I have so much junk.
My life is filled with clutter—no wonder my mind is too! The clutter habit comes from both sides of my family. It makes it harder to clean my apartment. Too much stuff to move. I need to pull out the FlyLady’s How to Declutter & do the 27 Fling Boogie
I’m 27 years old and afraid to drive. The thought of even taking the test scares me. I never feel comfortable or in control. I never feel like I’m paying attention to the things around me because I’m so focused on driving & not hitting what is in front of me. I think if I ever felt comfortable, it would be a miracle. The reality is I should & need to get my license.
I started out just making sure I was meeting my water requirements. Once I did that, I discovered that I was starting to even order just water when eating out and I’ve never done that before. I do feel healthier. The few times I do get a soda, I can’t drink the whole bottle anymore. The times I do have a soda, I tend to feel dehydrated afterwards.
Pictures from Switchfoot Concert. I was inspired by a book recently where the photographer was able to take some gorgeous pictures without using his flash. So I didn’t use it (the flash) very much. Some of the pictures are blurry but I kept them because they look sorta artsy in their own way.
Mostly Cayucos pictures. I reminded myself of my dad because I was taking multiple pictures of the same thing. Not sure if that is good or bad. :)
Went a little picture crazy at last week’s Skillet concert!
I’m wanting to make some icons of them but I can’t seem to choose which ones! :(
Saturday, I spent about 2 hours going through the past year’s pictures. Got them all in order and into two albums. Just have to caption them.
Sunday morning I realized that I haven’t finished the roll of pictures on my dad’s old camera that I used in Death Valley in November. Instead of re-organizing everything I’m just going to put them in a new album & probably add them to my “Dad Box”. It’s all slide film so I have to find a place that will not only develop them into slides but will do prints. I know Costco does slides but I’m not sure they do prints from slides.
Took over 100 pictures while on my trip (some at the Con others outside). Had way too much fun taking pictures.
