When i first moved away to college I became so wrapped up in all of the new experiences and freedoms that I neglected why I was there in the first place. As I have matured, I know that finishing school isn’t just about the education, it is about finishing something I started, obtaining personal skills and broadening my horizons. I am so ashamed when I learn that friends have completed school or are working on professional degrees that I ‘lie to kick it’. Now I am almost 30 and still in school struggling in a math class that should have been done ages ago and wondering where the past 29 years have gone.

I am reading all of these interesting posts about goals and ambitions and I find myself wondering what I could do to become a more dynamic and interesting person. I do not feel that I am at a loss of friends but I find myself not having the personal depth of character that I would like. Don’t get me wrong I am ‘that’ guy, everyone wants to be around me and many want to be my friend, but I think if I knew me I would think I was a douche.
