So-called “casual smoking” is getting out of hand. Errr.. like smoking almost every day. How casual isn’t that?! So I’ve stopped. I’m going to avoid booze (or at least change drinks) because beer and smoking are very much entangled.
I can’t call this done yet because of the social element of smoking (steal a cig, borrow a light, spark up with mates). I like it. That’s lame. Need to fix that.
The less I gossip the more I’m honest with myself. I’d like to get more of this good feeling.
There is really nothing like gossiping about how person Z does X (“They did X?? Really??”) to help you ignore that you did X (or would like to!). Gossiping is super anesthesia. You don’t even have to think about not hurting others ... you are shutting yourself down by gossiping and this is reason enough to stop.
Be selfish: gossip less.
