get married (read all 3 entries…)
Maybe soon 1 week ago

Well, a couple of months ago I was getting pretty anxious about why this wasn’t happening (never thought I would be one of those girls). My boyfriend and I seemed to want different things, but after some long and tearful converstaions I now know that we do want the same thing but have been moving at different speeds. Now, I’m working on getting back to just enjoying what I have and not worrying about what I don’t have. I am also making sure that I want to marry him and not just that I want to be married.

Zion & Bryce 1 week ago

My boyfriend and I recently spent a week camping in Zion and Bryce national parks…it was awesome! The area is just beautiful and the parks are so well managed. We had such a great time and it was one of the best vacations that I’ve ever had. I love camping!

When? Who? 2 months ago

I don’t think my boyfriend and I are on the same page. I don’t know what’s going to happen. I was sure 9 months ago, but then it started to become evident that we might not want the same things at the same time, and now I’m not sure. We’ve been together for 20 months, I’m old enough to know myself and what I want/need…shouldn’t things be more certain? Shouldn’t I know?

I just moved and my new apartment has it’s own washer/dryer…not mine to keep, but mine for a while and just as good! No more collecting quarters.

Big Sur 4 months ago

The camping trip with my boyfriend was a lot of fun. Big Sur is such a beautiful place and we did lots of hiking. Looking forward to planning a big camping trip to Utah in the fall.

Trial ride 5 months ago

I rode my bike to and from work the other day and it wasn’t hard at all. Actually, I didn’t think it would be that hard since it’s only about 5 miles each way, but I just needed to put some effort into working out the details like getting to work sweaty and making sure that I wasn’t going to need my car at any point during the day. It worked out great and my goal is to try to do it once a week. It will save on gas, decrease my carbon footprint, count as my workout for the day and give me the chance to prepare for and decompress after work.

Give blood
It's not that bad! Just do it! 6 months ago

It’s an opportunity to help someone and it helps you to appreciate your good health and body.

make love in a jacuzzi
Romantic? Yes! 6 months ago

The hot tub was private and it was set back in the woods/trees…there was just enough of a chill in the air that the hot water felt really good and my boyfriend totally surprised me by going in naked. One thing led to another and…it was really nice! Looking forward to going back.

stretch every day
Starting today 6 months ago

After suffering with some back and neck pain for months, I had a massage today. Not one of those relaxing ones at a spa, but a REAL massage that targeted my problem areas and HURT LIKE HELL. The massage therapist also showed me some stretches that I need to do every day. After any strenuous activity/workout it always feels better to stretch…I don’t know why I don’t do it more often.

Big Sur 6 months ago

In April, my boyfriend and I are going on a weekend camping trip to Limekiln, a campground just south of Big Sur. It’s just far enough away from home, but not too far that we’re spending all day in the car. Looking forward to sitting under the star-filled sky, feeling the warmth of a campfire and the chilly night air.

Went to Cozumel for a week with my boyfriend and shared the pictures with my friends and family. I am really liking my digital camera and am taking so many more pictures than I would have with a regular camera.

Spent sunny relaxing week in Cozumel and it was warm and beautiful. Have already started thinking about planning my next trip…Ireland!

Make a gingerbread house
Done! 8 months ago

I did this with my mom and my sister this past Christmas. We used a kit, which made it easy. My mom is more creative than my sister and I…she made the melted snowman. Maybe next year I’ll make one from scratch.

Still going strong 8 months ago

I feel like this goal is going well…a few times a week I find myself privately reflecting on how happy and content I am. Also, most nights, my boyfriend and I continue to share three things we were grateful for on that day.

Give consumable or handmade gifts
better for all 10 months ago

This year, I am giving several people reusable shopping bags made from recycled natural cotton fibers…found at www.ecobags.com…also doing some shopping for gifts at local farmer’s market. I want the holiday to be about the people, not about the gifts.

Send out Christmas cards this year
do this every year 10 months ago

I do this every year…I love picking out just the right card and of course they have to have colored envelopes (this year they have Randy from “A Christmas Story” on them w/ red envelopes). I always send out more than I receive, but I don’t care. Fifteen cards are going out in the mail on Monday!
