I realized- I don’t like to gamble, and I hate all you can eat buffets, so the plan now is to go down to TN. We are going to rent a cabin near the smoky national park with another couple and hike and relax. This is much more “me” and I am really excited. I hope everything comes together!

How I did it: So I took lessons for people who know how to swim but wanted to refine their stroke. I went in there not knowing how to do the breathing part. I have learned the basics but am still having trouble not sucking in water every time I take a breath. I think with practice I will be fine. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I started training for a triathalon. I realized that imagining myself cross the finish line OR how humiliated I would be if I started dying before I finished is the greatest motivator I could find! I've been regularly swimming, running (which is still very hard for me) and biking for 12 months now. This has helped me maintain a weightloss of about 30 lbs for the last year and a half. How I did it: Funny how I thought finding a career I was passionate about would be different. And maybe what I am experiencing is not passion, but just a real contentment and joy. After years of trying to find a way to use my college degree, and working in the insurance industry (which I loathed) I've found a job doing closed captioning for the hearing impaired. The feeling of NOT hating going into work or not having the dreaded black cloud on Sunday i… Read how I did it…

I am working on this! I’ve taken swim lessons, starting running and am now going to start working on the biking part. This has been a great way to get in all around shape and a great motivator to exercise. My first sprint marathon will be at the end of august.
So I’ve always lived in apartments and this has been an obstacle in being able to have a garden. While I am still living in an apt, I do have a deck. I am curious whether a container garden would be doable? It wouldn’t be a true garden, but if I could grow some herbs, tomatoes and maybe some peppers, I feel like I could count this as succeeding in my goal…
Gonna do some research on that!
