So far since the beginning of the year, I have completed one book with each of the girls(The Tale of Despereax and The Kingdom Keepers and am working on a third with K3, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. We don’t get to read every night but the nights we do it is a wonderful time we get to share with each other. I read a chapter and then one of the girls will read a chapter.

Two months into the year and I am doing great! As of 2/28, I have read 20 books. I am so happy… this is already more than I read all of last year. Some of the books I have read have even been from the young adult category. My kids have said, Mom, you have to read this… it was so good. Also, I have started to do read-alouds with the kids again…just because they are older doesn’t mean that we still can’t read together. My other adult fiction have been romance, mystery and some contemporary fiction.
