Okay, I haven’t completely stopped worrying, but I have a few tricks that help relieve me of worry.
I write in my journal every morning. This is a great way to clear my mind. I typically write three pages. I have started adding a fourth page which is two lists: 10 Blessings and 10 Worries. Each day I write down ten of each blessings and worries. My goal is to leave my worries on the page. Also, the blessings help me to feel grateful about what I do have to be thankful for. The ranges of items can be very small (like the clear sky) to very large (a new source of income).
I write down whatever pops into my mind. I also don’t have a particular order in which I write them down. Some days I go straight down the list, while other days I list half of my worries before noting a single blessing.
