The family and I were asked to be extras in the local high school’s production of Li’l Abner, and I managed to talk them into having all of us perform as a jug band for the audience before the show. I played the banjo, Aylish played the washboard and kazoo, Nolah played the tambourine, and Paula played the jug. The crowd loved us! Well, it’s not totally what I intended, but it looks like I’m in a band! Someone from the Milford Community Band found out that I have a banjo collecting dust at home, and leaned on me pretty hard to join their Dixieland band.
I try out for ‘em October 18th.
