I actually learnt Chinese and English simultaneously while growing up, and used to be fairly proficient at Chinese. Well. Guess which language is dominant now. I don’t use Chinese at all in everyday life, so unfortunately I’ve only retained a conversational grasp of the language. I actually feel quite shocked by the amazingly rapid rate at which I’ve lost my facility in Chinese – so I’m going to do something about it.

I’ve never been to Chicago but I think I am in love with the place and so many things about it, from its lakeside location to its cultural vibes. I was supposed to study in Chicago, but things happened and now I am unfortunately Not There. If I get another chance to go there I’m not passing it up.

Have been slacking about learning German. Maybe I should go join a class at the local Goethe Institute. Hmm. I might do that during my break.
