Scooters: they are becoming less of a style statement and more of a necessity in this day and age. I don’t remember why or how we came up with the idea, but one day last summer, my brother and I drove down into the City to rent some scooters.
Bang for the buck, it was probably the best $80 I’ve spent in a long time.
Coming from a motorcycle, a scooter seems more like a plaything than a vehicle, especially the 50cc dealios we had. But we weren’t road-tripping; we weren’t drag-racing; we were zipping down the Magnificent Mile, June sun in our faces, light breeze to our backs, and a thousand miles to the gallon under us.
