Teach English.
teaching 2 years ago

teaching english has been one of the most worth while things that i have ever done. it has made me feel that i am contributing to society in a major way, and more than that contributing to the quality of someone’s life. grant it that i have only taught those living in the US already and that it is imperitive for many of my students to speak and use the language, i would love to live abroad and teach others. there is a great connection that comes from doing this…

be nicer to my mother
mom 2 years ago

i started having a real relationship with my mother only a few years ago. i wasted much too much time hating her because essentially i was so much like her. i’m happy to report that we have a very good relationship now. we’ve both grown up so much and realized that we are different but that our differences are what make us each so unique and beautiful! i’m so glad that i’ve done this and made an effort to have a better relationship with my mom because about two months ago i found out that she has stage three ovarian cancer. i can’t imagine how i may have felt if things were not right between us before this happened. make things right with those who matter to you in life…even if it’s hard. i feel like no matter what happens now i can always say to myself that i was a good daughter and that she was a great mother. she is one of my heros.

write a journal
journal writing 2 years ago

this is one of my favorite activities! i would say that i do this at a minimum of five times a week writing for at least half hour incriments, sometimes two or three hours depending on what’s going on in life!? it is a grea activity that allows me the freedom of mind and space. i can write about whatever i want to and be as random as i choose, and in the end it really makes me feel so much better to just get some things off my chest. (a great activity for emotional ‘stuffers’ if you ask me, someone like myself who dosen’t really put themselves ‘out there’)
