I rationalize the same way I would when making just about any other decision.
“When you know, you know.” You just can just “feel it” – these Cliches may be the first to actually offer wisdom quite literal sense.
You’ll truly “know it’s right” when you “feel” it deep within you – it’s when you don’t have any doubts (not even that little one hiding in the back of your brain that for some reason always manages to strike a negative cord in you.) Be honest – you certainly won’t regret it!.
In the end it’s all about what you feel deep inside – your “gut” is trying to tell you what you MUST choose. Only if you obey this voice can you know that you will truly be happy and without regrets should you marry this person.
If you don’t act according to what your gut is telling you – you’ll forever live with an deep twinge of pain that prods your heart throughout life.
If you don’t know this pain – Congratulations!...”You Listened and chose correctly”!
It’s when you realise that there’s no one else on the planet that you’d rather be with – that’s the telling moment. There’s something about this person that, even though you can’t express it in words, “nourishes” you in your own uniquely important ways. An almost spiritual connection that tells you that this person was meant for you – and that you’ve found your “partner in crime”.
Unfortunately, if you “do” know this pain…you may have failed to use your gut as your Compass. You may have allowed pride or fears steer your path because it was easier and would cause less turmoil at the time.
Rest assured, being “a little nervous” is totally normal…you are making one of the biggest decisions of your life – and it’s ok to be scared about the very challenge of change itself!
The good news is being with “The Right One” isn’t always as stress free as you would think. Even the best relationships aren’t without flaws. In actuality the very idea of a “perfect marriage” is a farce – propoganda that we’ve been fed all our lives. Superficial ideas that lead us to assume that if our relationships swerve from perfection it’s a sign that it isn’t right.
Although you might not know it at the moment, the “twists & turns” of our relationship(s) just end up making our personal “journey” more flavorful in the end. It’s these “spices” that can enhance and will allow you to savor the most exquisite moments in life.
