I’ve spent some time today looking through rental costs and lesson costs from various teachers around my city. One thing’s for sure – in the long run, this is NOT going to be cheap. Why couldn’t I have fallen in love with the violin instead?

Or the recorder?

Or the harmonica?

And that something is that you are constantly changing somebody’s life, for better or for worse, and whether or not you want to. It seems like a real cheat answer, but things are never as dramatic as you think they’re going to be anyway!

Up to official lesson three of six, which is in a few days. I’m getting the hang of it, and I’m really fortunate to be learning from somebody who is very adept at correcting you without stressing you out! Gradually getting over my fear of the road… we shall see… :)
