I have written several times now. I have no hope at all for one senator and am sure the other senator was always on board. My representative is one of those “blue dogs’. I have to look to see how the vote went. but at least I know it DID pass the house. Some of the things that people who oppose this idea say make me so mad and some make me sad. When I heard Michael Steele call it a bill “that nobody wants” I actually cried. I want health care reform, so I guess that makes me nobody. I guess I just don’t exist in his book.

How I did it: I finally just took them up again and finished them off. It was easy once I re-started working on them. They look really nice and have even gotten a good review from somebody on Ravelry. I will try not to let this kind of thing happen again with another project. I still have the Bohus sweater to do which is another long, long unfinished object. I hope I will be disciplined enough to take that up this fall.. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Now that I'm back in my summer home I was able to finish up putting in my books. I couldn't get them all in because I have several old ones that Ravelry don't list. I just left them out rather than bother with the whole search on Amazon.....not worth the time. I also went through my closet looking for older projects to add and only decided on a few. Another thing I just left out were all the socks, mittens, hats, etc that I made before I … Read how I did it…
How I did it: I have found that my electric frying pan with a cover is one of the best appliances I own. I use it constantly now and can cook a huge variety of things in it. I even did rice with this appliance. Second most important is the microwave. I figured out amounts of rice + water and pasta + water in order to be able to make both of those things not on the stovetop. Add in the toaster oven for baking rolls and small casseroles, and I'm good to … Read how I did it…

In early October I took another business trip to Seattle. Afterwards I moved to my friends home for a couple of days. I had thought we could do a day trip to Mt Rainier, but for a variety of reasons, we ended up on the Olympic Peninsula and in the park there. Of course it was gorgeous. I was amazed at the size of the trees and how GREEN everything is there.
I’ve started the formal celebrant education program. It’s very enjoyable and I’m sure I’ll do fine. My classmates are very interesting. We’re learning now about ceremony and ritual in general.
