How I did it: Booked short trip. Played up entire visit of ship to hometoswn recently. Went with him to watch ship arrive and to various vantage points for him to photograph it. Bought tickets for boat trip to accompany the liner when it left port. Kept up dialogue about it for entire time until presented him his 'tickets'. Read how I did it…
How I did it: booked go karting for himself and pals, organised family meal, booked short trip on QM2 for next year. Used skills in photoshop etc to lay up mock tickets with Cunard colours, logo & pics of exterior and interior of QM2 and added a birthday greeting to it, along with cabin details and dates. How I did it: Visited twice. Few hours each time, not long enough.Last time stayed at Travel lodge Covent Garden - absolutely fine and very convenient for walking to British Museum. Bought guide map and chose specific areas wanted to see in limited time we had. Began, walked around looking awestruck, asked guides when we lost our way. Would love a full day there.
