I was married for almost 10 years and have been divorced now for 5. Being single is the best – you go where you want to go, do what you want to do and not have to worry about someone else. Before, I would get home and have to listen to how someone’s day was and listen to stuff that I don’t really care about. Do you care how my day went? Care to hear stories about people you don’t know, work you are not familiar with? No, not so much. If I get extra money, I can do what I want with it instead of someone else saying no, I need this or I want that. I definitely prefer it and doubt that I look for marriage or long term serious relationships again.

I am not much into exercising, although that is going to change. I have run the Corporate Challenge 5K in Atlanta about 6 times without exercising leading up to it. I am running one Dec 3 in Las Vegas dressed as Santa Claus. Hopefully after that run I will get into it more and do it frequently!
Okay – the bad is that it’s Alaska and it’s winter. We went in November a few years ago. It was below zero and being from Atlanta that is very cold. The hotel is king enough to have someone watch for it then give a wake up call to your room. Two nights in Anchorage and we didn’t see anything. The three nights in Fairbanks finally brought a clear night and we saw the lights. It was beautiful!
