...it’s worth it.
It took a week or so longer than I expected, but I’m glad that I’ve stuck with it. I still don’t type as fast as I used to with QWERTY (that is a strange thing to type in Dvorak), but I’m improving every day.
And it’s made my teeth whiter, my breath fresher, and women swoon when I walk by.

I read Neil Postman’s Amusing Ourselves To Death which woke me up to all of the time that I had been wasting in front of the TV. I realized there were so many times when I had stared at the TV for want of anything else to do. The book is a bit repetitious, but it is nevertheless worth reading.
I now watch about 2 hours of TV per week, down from 20-30 at various periods of my life. I have even stopped watching shows that I really liked only to discover that I really didn’t miss them that much.
