Taking a different approach

I’ve decided to take a different approach to writing. Instead of just working on it in private, I’ve made my progress public.

I created a blog where I will post updates as I write. I know there will be changes, and edits, but at least I get the story out. With a blog format, people can comment and give ideas and feedback.

What do you think?

Volunteering and doing what I can

I have been volunteering my time at a place called Panther Ridge Conservation Center in Wellington, Florida. Not only have I had the pleasure to make friends with cougars, leopards, ocelots, jaguars and a cheetah, but I’ve created an adoption program for them, a donation web site, and I have arranged photographer tours.

I may not be doing the hands on part, but I think this still qualifies as helping to save animals :)

Volunteering at a conservation center or sanctuary is a great way to photograph

I’ve been volunteering at a place called Panther Ridge Conservation Center, and I’ve even arranged photography tours via Meetup.com. This offers me a great opportunity to take photos of some amazing big cats.

I am also visiting a farm sanctuary later this month.

I’ve even setup a site for all my photography photos using SmugMug, http://www.dbnature.com
