I’m planning to build a campfire every single time I practice.
I really want to do this. Perhaps on my college campus, or at the apartment complex where I work. Any tips or pointers on how to get started? helpful websites?
I have really curly hair, and my haircuts always look bad, so I’ve starting cutting it myself because it usually looks better than a professional job and is free.
But seriously, it would be nice to find someone who could give me a decent haircut for real.
This summer, I spent a lot of time with people who danced a lot, even if they were the only ones dancing at a show or randomly in the street. It was a lot of fun. I don’t live around them anymore, but I’m still going to dance more.
I joined a dance group, nothing too serious, should be fun.
I need to start going to dance parties as well. I don’t usually like parties, but if there’s a lot of dancing, I usually end up having fun if I go.
I love to laugh, I worked with kids this summer so I did a lot of laughing.
Yesterday, I went to an amusement park and laughed hysterically on all of the scary rides instead of screaming.
I was so social this summer when I had a summer job in a new city. It was a great time. Now I just have to take this back to school with me in August and make more solid friends so that college isn’t as boring.
After I moved away from Chicago, it took me over a half a year to get back even though I only lived a couple hundred miles away, but I finally did it! In February and it was freezing, but still a great place. It makes me nostalgic just to think about it. I think I’m going to go again before the end of the summer, too.
As long as I’m in college, I might as well suck it up and actually get something out of it rather than the long hours I spent procrastinating last year.
Moved to Cincinnati, and while I didn’t really fall in love with the city, I did meet a lot of awesome people and do a lot of fun things.
I ended up working at a great day camp in a new city at an environmental organization that runs an urban nature preserve. I met lots of great people and had a lot of fun. It was worth the search.
I used to weigh 115 lbs in high school, and in the few years since I’ve gained 15-20 lbs, which isn’t the end of the world, but I know I’m gaining weight because I don’t eat that well, and I look better at 115 lbs. Although I have boobs now, so I guess it’s not all bad.
I’ve seen them twice now, both were lots of fun (not the most amazing concerts I’ve been to, but still great), definitely go see them if you get the chance, for all you Americans, they’ve had a lot more shows in the US lately… I went to two in Chicago in one year, and could have gone to a third if I wanted to go to projekt revolution (which I didn’t really…).
I just came here to go to college, and it doesn’t really look like that interesting of a town, but I definitely want to give it a chance and get involved because I’m sure it’s hiding some interesting stuff that I’ll never find unless I look for it.
I lived in Chicago last year, but I haven’t been back since July. I don’t live that far away now, it’s just getting organized and finding someone to drive me to the bus station. I want to go back and visit all my old favorite places.
I saw the northern lights completely accidentally (in Indiana, of all places) I just walked outside at night and the sky was vivid green and purple and pink. It was pretty nifty.
My mom and dad got divorced this summer and it’s hard for me to get used to having to call twice as much. And I’m just in general closer to my mom, but I need to call my dad too, especially because I think they both need a lot of phone calls right now, and it’s good for me, too.
I’m going to Earlham now… it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but some people really love it, so definitely check it out.
Did city year last year in chicago. It was a good experience, although certainly not perfect. Still, I’m glad that I did it.
I did this last year and there was a huge storm and we only got up to the second level and they made us come down. Me and a couple other people wanted to go to the real top enough that we went back the next night and stood in line again!
