How I did it: I decided to make a movie of me riding a bike because I just learned (another of my 43 things completed!) and I wanted to show my family back home.I had my boyfriend take videos on my little point & shoot digital camera, uploaded the videos to iMovie, edited out the unnecessary bits, chose a soundtrack song, and put the clips in a nice order. done!here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S2zvJAJ2rmM Read how I did it…
How I did it: signed up through redcross.org. it cost me $60 and it was an all-day class. I am now certified in CPR, AED, and first aid. woohoo!uh I apparently need to meet a 150-character minimum, but that was all there really was to it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: very easy to complete, just has to be the right time of year. I went with 4 friends. we bought our tickets at the grocery store ahead of time to save money (HAHA), piled into Lisa's car & headed out to BFE where the festival is held.got in & OH MY GOD was it boring. ugh! i’m afraid this one isn’t going to happen. for one thing, i nearly wasted january because i hadn’t set this goal yet, and then i got sick & stayed in bed for a week. and now, my usual running path through the nearby park has been closed off for some sort of construction, so i’m not even really sure where i can run anymore! :/
i’m going to bump the number down to something more realistic, try to find an alternate running path, & keep at it!
i won’t check this off my list quite yet, but I got the job at the language school!!!
i was rejected at first, but a couple weeks later i went back & asked my first interviewer how realistic he honestly thought it was for me to get the job if i reapplied. he then set up an interview for me with the director of the hamburg branch. i met with her today & she said that i gave a good impression & i have her approval to start the training program in a few weeks!
as long as i get through training successfully & they’re happy with me afterwards, i will soon become an english as a foreign language teacher!!!
this is something i’ve been thinking about & working towards for a long time, so i’m really happy that it’s worked out so far!
