I'm doing 36 things
came back from germany last night, and I crossed four of my list while there—The Procuress, Woman Reading a Letter at an Open Window, A Lady Drinking and a Gentleman, and Woman with a Pearl Necklace. Woman with a Pearl Necklace was the first I saw and I can’t explain how I felt when I looked at it. It is probably my favorite of the four, but I also liked Woman Reading a Letter at an Open Window.

I guess at my age (I’m 17) it’s okay, maybe even expected, to be unsure. I’m going off to college next year as an art major, but I think I might want to go to medical school as well. I feel like there’s so much I’m interested in that it’s hard to narrow it all down. And on top of it all, I feel sort of obligated to do something that will be helpful for society, not just go into some field that I think is interesting. I don’t think I could just live for myself, but of course, I want to be happy.
