buy a flat in london
Start Viewing Places 2 days ago

Have got a few places lined up to view; but still need to sort getting a solicitor and meeting with a mortgage advisor etc. Every time I think I have thought everything involved in this process I find out a whole load more, le sigh.

cycle from London to Paris over 4 days
Entred charity cycle ride 2 days ago

Have entered a charity event for Environmental Justice Foundation and will be cycling the 300 miles from London to Paris.

First thing I need to do is buy a bike. Have narrowed my list down to a choice of 3 hybrid bikes, so going to take them for a test ride.

Very excited to have entered and can’t wait to start some training for this; have never done anything like this before.

Someone lost their drivers licence by our house. My house mate and I posted it back to them with a little present and no hint that it was us that sent it on.

Finished! 2 years ago

I did it! Exams all done too, and Helen and I went out to Pizza Express to celebrate I had a really nice pizza with some chicken on.
It was a fun challenge and I shall defo continue to eat some of the stuff that I have tried out, as it was all so yummy and so easy to cook.

My Final Week. 2 years ago

I went to Tescos this morning to stock up on some food. As, I have most of my exams in the next week, I felt it sensible to buy some good food to eat. I also got a little bit too excited to see that the peppers where half price, although I was a little disappointed to see that there were no yellow ones-but fear not, I got lots of red and orange ones (I don’t like the green ones!).
I am still a fan of tofu stirfrys-so I bought some Tofu and various things to have with it. I have one full day of exams, which means I have to prepare a packed lunch to take with me to campus. I’d normally make a sandwhich, but I haven’t managed to find a meat free sandwhich that I like yet. So, I shall be making some pasta with all those peppers that I just had to buy today. Actually, the last time I had to stay on campus all day I took some pasta with peppers and mushrooms with me, and Simon (who thought that being vegetarain over exam time was very silly) thought it smelt great and was in actual fact very jealous of my lunch. I look forward to being the envy of everyone in our small lunch break between exams. It shall no doubt be the highlight of my day!

A Quick Update. 2 years ago

I haven’t managed to up date this as much as I would have liked to because of exams.
But, everything is going well. I just wish that I had some more time on my hands to try cook something nice from a cook book, as I am sure there are plenty of lovely dishes out there for me try out. As it is a busy exam time, I haven’t been eating great-it’s all about convenience at the moment and so I seem to be eating a lot of bread and pasta. But I have without a doubt realised that it is very easily possible to have a tasty, substantial meal without any meat in it.
The other day, my housemate, was cooking something that smelt so nice that I had to go downstairs. It was some pork and he tried his best to make me have a bit-he claimed that I could have one mouthful and still be a vegetarain-ha! Don’t worry, as nice as the smell was and as tasty as it looked I didn’t have any. 9 days left and 9 days till my exams are done!

I had my first exam yesterday morning, and when I came out I was disappointed with it and was starving and felt at a bit of a loss as to what substantial meal I could have that would make me feel better. I went to Tesco’s on the way home, had a wander around. I made Fajitas without the chicken, loads of Peppers and mushrooms and stuff-was delicious! So that was the first time I really wanted to cave in, and I didn’t-Hurrah! Feels more like a challenge now that I’ve had a moment of feeling weak and didn’t give in. 15 days left and I really don’t see any reason why I shouldn’t be able to do it.

I just realised that I am not far off half-way now. Just made myself a delicious Tofu stir fry. I think even when I revert back to my old ways, I’d still like to make a few of them-it’s so easy to do AND it tastes great-everyone’s a winner!

Vegetarianism. 2 years ago

I have been living off a vegetarian diet for just over a week now. Started on 18th May, so I’ll finish on the day of my last exam it seems. The first week, has been more than alright really.
Have just been shopping and bought lots of yummy, yummy food, can’t wait to try it all out.
I’m not really sure what I hope to achieve by doing this, I am just doing this as a bit of a stamina thing-but we shall see in about 3 weeks time if it has any other effects.
I guess, that’s how for now!
