maybe into one of the slightly more rural counties (property costs aren’t as high) and I’d charge a reasonable fee, either annually or by visit, enough to provide for upkeep. It’s not a business idea that’s intended to make me rich; it’s more of a passion I have for dogs and their people. :)

I’d also like to have an indoor area that was well-lighted and covered, so the dogs have playtime if it’s raining or cold or night.

Just think, in the winter, I’m just getting home from work around 6pm and it’s already dark. There are no sidewalks where I live, so I can’t walk my dogs near home, and I can’t take them to the park because everything closes at dark. It’s really hard for them to get the exercise they need in the winter.

So if someone wants to “steal” this idea, please DO. I don’t really care who does it, I just want someone to, and if no one does, I’d like to. Financially, I can’t right now, but I want to someday.

... although my head has ups and downs about it. Basically, I lack confidence and there are days (many, actually) when I think “I can’t do this; it’s too hard, I’m not smart enough, I don’t have enough time, money”, etc. etc. But part of the challenge here is for me to believe in myself, be confident and have faith. I’m going to set a deadline: by next Sunday night (August 12th) I’m going to have made a decision about what kind of business to start and I’m going to move forward on it within a couple of days of that. At least get things started with making a website, choosing a web host, etc. Small but consistent steps will get me where I want to be.
