Wow I’m so proud of myself : ) I’m actually still breastfeeding and now I’m not sure when I will wean Miguel. I suppose until my supply dries up. Or until he himself decides he’s had enough of the boob.

Next week, on September 11 Miguel will turn one year old and I will have achieved my goal of breastfeeding him for a year. I still have not decided exactly when I will wean him. I am thinking about child-led weaning, but will have to read up more about it. What if he decides to wean when he’s 4 or 5??
Miguel is 11 months old today, and I have just one month to go. But with everything I’m reading about the benefits of breastfeeding beyond the first year – not to mention the money I’ll be able to save – I just might extend my goal to 18 months…
