so we had to dye my hair blonde first
which left me looking
like urban zebra meets xmen,
but it was pretty sweet.
the pink faded fast…
but was totally worth it.

so he’s giving it to me.

i guess for me, this is about letting go. or maybe breaking free.
my mother says reputation is everything. how you look affects how people think of you.
but that’s her. i don’t want first glances to overrule who i am.
because on the inside, i am a girl who would never be afraid to have hot pink hair. honors student or not.
i’ve always found an excuse not to do this. can’t find dye. my mom would kill me. school. work. washing the dog. whatever. but yanno, i graduate in a week and two days. i’m not going to be in high school anymore.
if i really expect to start living, i have to start setting my own rules. and i think this might, for me, be the place to start.
