I’m reading some self-help books now. While this is not the type of therapy I had in mind, I wanted to talk to a counselor, it is a good first step for me.

How I did it: I started buying them December 2006 and finished buying them in 2009. However, after I was done watching them, I sold them. I regret that now, but I want to upgrade to the newest releases which are the size of standard dvd cases or possibly the whole series box sets (to save room on my dvd shelf). If I can find a new or used set at the equivalent price to what I sold them for, then it will be ok. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I had heard of Rasputina first through a buttonmaker's website, kenkitty. He had buttons for the band. I thought that it was cool that Melora was the touring cellist with Nirvana. Also thought it was cool that "Transylvanian Concubine" was on an episode of Buffy, since I'm a fan of that show.I kept checking tour dates online and eventually they had a show in my city. I bought a ticket online, and drove to see them. Read how I did it…
I entered a contest to win a car- a Nissan cube. You make a video. It’s cool, here are mine:

I really love to sing. I would like to be in a band playing any instrument, but I’m not really too good at any instruments, but I can sing. I can sing for my close friends and I don’t get nervous. I sang a capella in my public speaking class, however, and my voice was trembling. So I have stage fright- well it might be different on an actual stage or with a band backing me up- hopefully better, not worse. I didn’t think I would be nervous, but I was. I mean I do have social anxiety somewhat offstage, but I WANT to sing. I’ll go the karaoke (public) practice route to try to get over this. I’m even nervous to try out for a band, I might not be familiar with the bands they are influenced by, and secondly I do not have my own pa system, which might count against me. Stage fright & lack of equipment… My friend says I’m good though, my chorus teacher said that I was good and should continue singing, and someone in the class I was singing for told me I was good, I know I am a good singer, but that doesn’t ease my nervousness. And I did do 2 concerts while I was in chorus, but a) I was in a group, not the only one singing b) we didn’t really have to do anything but stand there and sing and c) I was nervous during these concerts. So I have to work on my social anxiety, stage fright, confidence, and get a decent pa system.
