a filmmaker i barely knew referred me to the one of the biggest TV networks in the country. he recommended me for training as a scriptwriter in the film division. what a deal.

my short film will be screened for the first time in a theater on the 15th, that’s two more days! it’s for a film contest, which i am hardly thinking about. what concerns me more is just how much support i will receive from the film.
i mean, it’s one thing to have all your friends go, but it’s another thing to differentiate a genuine “you did well” reaction from an obligatory one.
i need to send invites.
oh and another thing, really: it’ll be my birthday on the same day. i don’t know what could be the greater gift: have all my friends show up at a gathering almost-dedicated to me (where i don’t have to spend for anything!), or have my film shown on the big screen for the first time.

watched it a few years ago, watched it again (after finally finding a copy) in the hopes of understanding it more. well, i only understood it a little bit more.
