The classes at work stopped as there just weren’t enough people attending (there were three of us who were motivated. The rest were just to embarrased to speak up so stopped coming, i think), but I keep on with the book, some mps and largly, about.com’s french language section and my vocabulary and gammar is improving.
I still tell people that I don’t speak french, but I’m at the stage where I can ask for my freind on the phone and be polite to her mom, I can say where I work and all that basic stuff. I speak to myself in french as much as possible.
I still have real problems understanding people when they speak normally, but overall, I can see progress.
