I took my mom to see Barry Manilow for her birthday. I had a cassette of his greatest hits when I was in school. It was an interesting concert – a lot of older people and several younger people too. It was fun and we had a good time. It is amazing to see how one person’s music can be part of so many people’s life soundtrack. I am sure each song means something different for many of them and everyone connects in a different way. That is admirable.

How I did it: I started by purging anything that was saved on the server. No need to replicate information. Then I gathered active files and purged them of previous scopes of work. I finally gathered the regulatory documents and organized them by state so I can find them when I need them. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I tried to post 2 blog entries per week - Tuesdays and Fridays. Having a deadline kept my blog from being stagnant but 2 per week was challenging. Part of being creative is working regularly. Posting 2x per week required that I think about topics and take lots of photos. And, there were some weeks that I back-dated a post because a good blog can take me over an hour to prep once I got started. I was successful in maintai… Read how I did it…
How I did it: I debated where to spend my 40th and eventually settled on DC. My bday is in early January so weather is always a concern - as are increased holiday fares. But DC is drivable and early Jan is a GREAT time to visit because the crowds are down and the days were sunny. We went to a few Irish Bars to hear singers. I saw Kermit at the Smithsonian. The exhibition at the Renwick was '40 under 40' - truly appro… Read how I did it…

Jeff started to transfer files and I will try out new templates. I even have some new photos for the site. I might try to free-lance a logo.
If I am honest with myself, this is my primary goal. But for some reason, I don’t want to admit that. I feel a bit shallow and I fear failure. Nonetheless, I am trying to make a large commitment to this goal. I am logging food and trying to work out more. I also have decided to work with a personal trainer. I plan to work with her 1/week for at least 12 weeks. I had my first session last week and apparently, I don’t work out very hard when I am alone.
