I wasn’t doing such a good job of this until I started planning out each week’s menus. That made a real difference in both the variety and the quality of our meals… and it had the added benefit of cutting down on how many trips I made for groceries each week!

I think it may be genetic. I can easily raise my left eyebrow, but can’t raise my right no matter how hard I try.
I finally just knuckled down and decided to start cooking more real food. Not Hamburger Helper or Homestyle Bakes or something from a box or freezer, but real honest to goodness meals. I picked up a Paula Deen magazine, tried some of the recipes for Thanksgiving, and they were great! I asked for (and got) one of her cookbooks for Christmas too. I’ve rediscovered the joy of cooking and now look forward to meal time. Well, most nights, anyway. LOL
