I’m getting closer and closer to my weight loss goal. Last night I weighed in at WeightWatchers and found that I had lost another .4 pounds. That is almost 6 and one half ounces. It’s like a stick and a half of butter, a hockey puck, almost a half loaf of bread. I can do this. It’s less than a pound now to my 10% point.
Soon I will be noting on 43 things how I reached my goal weight!

Salmon filets
Crushed nuts (I actually used Bear Naked trail mix nuts)
Lemon Pepper to taste
Garlic flavored oil
On a rectangle of non-stick foil (dull side up) place salmon filet(s)
Brush salmon with garlic oil
Shake lemon pepper on salmon filets
Crush the nuts and put on top
Fold foil into a packet
Cook on a heated gas grill for 7 minutes, flip and cook for another 7 minutes.
I served this with a potato dish that I cooked as follows (not entirely original but with some of my own twists):
Fresh leeks (cut up, some dark green part and some white)
Scrubbed organic red potatoes
Baby carrots
butter
Mrs. Dash
Garlic Powder or garlic flavored oil (optional)
In non-stick foil packet place cut up potatoes, carrots, and leeks. Put a few dots of butter on top and sprinkle with Mrs. Dash. Add some garlic powder or garlic flavored oil if desired. Fold into packets. Make small slits to allow steam to escape. Cook about 20 minutes to a half hour on a heated gas grill.
I got to work by 8:30 today and if I didn’t have to go for gas it would have been sooner. So maybe I can keep working toward 8:00 with baby steps. Tomorrow I will aim for 8:25.
