Played the 9 hole course in Norwalk with the boys yesterday, and their play is becoming more consistently, although I still won most of the skins. I lost 2 balls and I was a little bummed by that. Maybe in a month or two we will play on a real 18 hole course.

How I did it: I watered sections of my lawn for 5-10 minutes every night. I also used soaker hoses to divert waste water from other activities like car washing, fish bowls, etc...I used an electric lawn mower with mulcher to recycle the cut grass into fertilizer. Occasional raking to aerate the lawn allows it to breath more (just once a month). When it finally rained again a couple of weeks ago, the transformation was complete and … Read how I did it…
How I did it: My son saw some of the advertisements on TV and wanted to go. I got the information on where the event was online, then drove downtown. Found some cheap parking for only $4, which was really good because I had forgotten my wallet and had just over $4 in change in my change caddie. The course was VERY crowded and it took about 20 minutes to find a spot where we could see both the video monitors and the track. As oth… Read how I did it…
How I did it: Because I didn't want to tie up a goal for a long time, i waited to set this goal so that I could complete it in a short amount of time starting at 450 cheers, but I was surprised I get it finished in only 7 days! Thank you to everyone who cheered me so I could cheer you back! Read how I did it…

I made phone calls yesterday on behalf of the Health Care Reform bill in the house which will be voted on today. Calling the constitutes of key members of Congress, I am standing up to the millions of dollars the Blue Cross (Anthem), Kaiser, Humana, and other Insurance companies are spending to kill health care reform and the public option. If you still don’t know, the US is already paying 100 billion dollars a year for Medicare and other health care programs. Then states and local governments are paying millions or more for local hospitals and clinics in an inefficient network that is NOT doing the job of protecting American citizens.
That’s what this bill is about. Yes the bill is not perfect and there is waste inside the bill, but having people die from insurance company greed is worse and the loopholes can be closed later. All the billions of dollars we are paying now from employers insurance premiums, taxes, and deficit spending would be consolidated to pay for the program. We need this now. I can’t imagine wanting to be responsible for one more person dying due to the current “system” if this bill doesn’t pass. That’s why I am involved. Because I care.
My dog is now doing it every time 100%. Time to start on another trick.
