Not contentment
Not joy
Not peace
HAPPINESS
It’s not elusive. It’s a decision. But it’s impossible with some people. Must have a variety of people and places to maintain some level of happiness. Extended solitude can produce many good things, but not happiness. Happiness… it’s easy. It comes to you, you don’t go get it. It comes to you when you don’t worry. When you have fun. Happiness is like… that analogy of just turning on the light to get rid of darkness… you can’t just get rid of darkness. It won’t work. The only way is to turn lights on. You gotta balance things, people. Cannot keep negative people in your life and keep wanting things youll never get from them.

Boundaries are really helping me get respect. The ability to say no to what I don’t want, it’s great. People respect you more when they know where you stand. They know they can’t do whatever the hell they want – or they can, but it may cause you not to hang out with them anymore. It’s working! Chris is helping me find my strength and independence.

Like having a variety of friends with various input. It’s exciting. Keeps me on my toes. Gives me some mental stimulation. People from all over the country, different things going on in their lives. It makes me know I’m not alone. I’m not stuck in my circumstances. I am not the center of things, my problems are not world ending.
