Granted, this goal was created waaay back in about 2009. I did finish my paper sculpture, but it was really not that awesome. Alas, sculpture is not really the best venue for my creative arts. I would, however, still like to try my hand at some little cut out paper three d pop outs…

How I did it: I went all summer without having a decent camera, and that drove me NUTS. Finally, I was able to use Air Miles points to procure for myself a new Digital Rebel XSI, which is awesome because I wouldn't have been able to afford it with real money.UPDATE!! ... and then I just plain saved up and got the 7d... SO WORTH IT!! Read how I did it…
In a van that was so packed with leftover Thunder Bay things that the front seats were forced into INCREDIBLY comfortable 90 degree angles…
This summer, starting in June, I travelled from Masset via ferry to Prince Rupert, then road tripped in a half broken 4×4 named Pearl all the way to Prince George, then from PG to Chilliwack, from Chilliwack to Vancouver, Vancouver lead me to Thunder Bay where I spent my first week in Minneapolis Minnesota.
Then, I spent a couple of weeks in Conmee with my family, then back to Thunder Bay to stay at the old house… with hardly any furniture and no phone.
After the weddings, I travelled back through Canada with my brother, stopping in Winnipeg, Regina and Medicine Hat, going through Banff and being wowed by insane amounts of person traffic and construction, and then back up to Chilliwack.
On Friday, it’s back to Masset so I can race towards the ocean with unparalelled glee, and do an awesome slow motion run towards my dear cousins who I’ve missed… like the deserts miss the rain…
“So… I was going to start off my speech with an amazing interpretive dance celebrating Sarah and Kevin’s love but … unfortunately, I left my spandex unitard at home.. so I’ll just have to wing it.”
The rest of my speech was written on a napkin between dinner and dessert… because I work best under DANGER.
