Our other dog, Lillie, is a tugger. We carry No-Pull Harnesses, so I think these are good training aides for dogs to walk nice on a leash. The truth is it is still the dog doing the walking and not the dog harness! So we walk her in this and she does better at pulling less, but it is still a training issue. She will be two years old soon, so she is getting over her rowdy teenage puppy attitude. She should be settling down to take obedience classes again, and listen better.

This was an amazing vacation. We traveled all over the NW coast of WA, and to Orcas Island. Next time we will spend our whole trip in the San Juan Islands. We stayed at the Blue Heron Bed & Breakfast on Orcas Island and can’t wait to go back next year. They are pet-friendly and we will bring our dogs this time. Their dog Pulaski, is their Canine Ambassador. Owners Bogdan and Carol are so warm and helpful. The food was delicious too. We would recommend their B & B to anyone going to Orcas Island.
My husband and I took the training from the Delta Society held by Dogs on Call at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. Delta Society is a national organization, and the only therapy dog organization that trains and certifies the human AND the dog. We look forward to taking our dog Sadie to visit people in hospitals, hospice, schools and community events. We will approach the Madison Veteran’s Hospital to see if they will allow therapy dogs first. Many facilities in the Madison-area already accept visits. We have a real heart for the VA so we will pursue this together.
