I became inspired to do this because of an 13-year old girl I met in Germany. She was part of this music school, and a friend of mine went with her to see the violin she was making. I figured, if an 13-year old can take a workshop on violin-making and be that successful, then so can I.
Now it’s just the matter of finding a place that will teach me, finding the time to work on it, and actually believing I have some sort of skill in wordworking. Ah well, it’s a nice dream.
Just the thought of playing an instrument I made myself- even if it sounds horrible- makes me shiver with excitement. All I can do is smile wistfully at the thought…

Granted, I visited under the shelter of my school’s orchestra program, but just witnessing the general splendor of such old country is almost too much to handle. It really hit me visiting the cathedral in Ulm, Germany. A trip to Europe really makes you notice how mundane and relatively new to the world the U.S. is in all aspects.
My new goal would be to try the whole “roaming college backpacker” thing on a limited budget, but that’ll have to wait a few years, as I haven’t even graduated high school yet! A kid can dream, though. I really want to try visiting the less touristy parts of Europe. Hopefully a great opportunity like a study abroad program will come my way!

This is a skill i’m uncommonly good at. But sometimes it’s awkward when I remember someone’s name after a long time, but they don’t remember me…i kinda feel like some crazy stalker then.
