As of two weeks ago, he finally is flying with 2 wheels. I’m so happy. Last weekend he went with me on my Sat. morning run. It was the best thing ever. I can now scratch this off my list.

I finished my half marathon at the DRC Half in Dallas this past weekend, Nov.4. It was at White Rock Lake and such beautiful scenery. It was such an unbelievable experience to have for the first time. All kinds of people on the sides of the road cheering and cowbelling. Children yelling, “Go Mommy.” It was such a rush. I can’t even begin to imagine how my full marathon will be compared to this.
So my goal was for a finish in 2 hours. My time was 1:49. I’ll take that…and the medal.
I did really good runs last week along with my 15k. I did 2 6 mile runs and a 8 mile. My first 6 mile was bad time. I did it in 50 min. The next day I finished my 8 mile in 54 min. Was very pleased with that time. Then the day after that another 6 mile and finished it in 46 min. Not a bad week at all. Except for the fact that I screwed up my knee. I really wish I knew what I did to it. From what I’ve read, I think it’s possible that it’s the “runners knee.” I did a light run yesterday to see how it was feeling. When I got to the 2 mile mark it was hurting. So, I guess running is out for a little while. I’ve been doing cold pac/heat a few times a day with ibuprofen and my husband has practically barracaded himself between me and the door so I can’t go run. It’s so hard because I really want to run. If I go a day without running, I’m just a freak. I can’t run for the rest of the week. That’s like 4 more days.
