After that last entry, I realized how ridiculous my reasons for not going farther were. I stayed up all night last night to figure out which school I will attend. The University of the District of Columbia is the second-cheapest (even out of state), it has about 6-8 majors that are on my ‘consider’ list, it’s fairly close, and has open admission. Next step: Call someone there.

This one is going to take a lot of encouragement. I don’t feel like anyone in my life supports this goal of mine, I’m having a baby boy in about a month, and I don’t know what I want to major in…so it will take a lot of motivation on my part. I find myself looking at colleges/universities online but it hasn’t gone farther than that.
I decided to do photography on my own time. I know I want to work for National Geographic so that kind of narrows it down a little. It is really important to me. That’s enough to motivate me to look but not apply or whatever the next step is.
This is the first step in my goal of working for National Geographic as a photographer. Have to start somewhere, eh? I think I may get some kind of degree in biology, too, but that is the second step.
