In reading online, I saw a comment from one of Peter Walsh’s books that said that if what you are holding on to isn’t getting you closer to the life you want to have, then it isn’t worth keeping. I keep using that thought when I’m out shopping or run across a yard sale, and I think my purchasing has gone down about 80% in the last six weeks. Now my decluttering is beginning to show, as no new things are filling up the spaces!
Helping others is really what makes me feel alive. I was reading all the posts and realized that I’m missing the more localized, closer helping, and I need some of that in my life again. I help some nonprofits, donate to charities, but helping fix a home, buy groceries for a hungry family, just listen to someone who needs to be heard…I’ll get back out there. Thanks for helping me see it.
