although i don’t fully grasp it yet, the zen masters would say that the void neither is nor isn’t. it is beyond the duality of existence/non-existence.

my whole life i was looking for something, trying to figure something out. then i realized there was nothing to figure out. i learned to clear my head and found that here i am, in the present moment, in the only present moment that exists and has ever existed. a lot of people are asleep though, trying to get somewhere. sometimes i am too, and now i work to keep my head exactly where it is.
got a camera for christmas last year. started using it (really using it) last week. something like 20 rolls of film to develop. i like to be in a place (say, my front porch, or a bench in the arboretum) and explore it with the camera, from every angle, in every light. don’t know anything about technical camera things, but the camera has optional training wheels, which are nice. is there any way to get high quality developing for little $$ ?
