I’m totally back on solid food and although it took a little getting used to the digestion thing is happening very well. I had a bit of a rough time with salad on the 3rd day as it just went right through me and gave me wicked cramps. But that night I went to a Seder and ate well, not too much though. My appetite is a lot more under control and I am enjoying fruits and veggies much more than I did before. My intention is to springboard from the fast into really healthy eating habits, drinking lots of water all day and exercising.
Good luck to all of those in the middle or considering it and feel free to ask questions.
Be Strong,its so worth it!

Last night I coudn’t help myself: I had some avocado and about 2 tbs of unchicken salad. I mashed it all up together and had it as my evening meal. It was delicious! I got full so quickly though. My stomach must have shrunk down a lot. I got so full from that little meal I had to go to bed. I couldn’t even think, it felt like all of the blood had gone to my stomach to get busy digesting, such a novel thing it was.
Today I’ve had juice and and broth and about 2 tablespoons of vegetables from the soup. Again I got full very quickly. Tonight I think I’ll have a small salad with some light dressing.
Not a lot of action down below.
Eating feels great though! Good luck to everyone.
Day 12- It has finally arrived! Not a drop of lemonade has passed my lips today, instead I started the day with some fresh squeezed (not by me) orange juice. It was the most intense oj I’ve ever drunk. The flavor was so powerful and it tasted so sweet it made my mouth pucker. I had about 24 oz.
At lunch time I decided to go cross town to a fancy juicebar and have some “special stuff”: I had 20 oz of fresh greens juice and 14 oz of some mix that’s supposed to be good for the skin. The green stuff tasted like dirt-lite, but eventually I got smart and mixed both of the juices in my trusty nalgene bottle and it tasted pretty good. I believe there were carrots in there which made it sweeter and less dirt like. My plan is to have more OJ tonight, maybe a bit of mashed up avocado (semi solid is ok, right?, and tomorrow is broth and soup…yummm
Day 11 was pretty fantastic. I had lots of energy, the sun was out and I was so happy that the end was in sight… lets be real I was counting down the hours. I ran lots of errands, did my taxes and in the evening met up with a group of good friends. It was wonderful to share my experience with them and to delve a little deeper than I would with most people. It felt very healing and dare I say …dexoting.
I’m really looking forward to the avocado! Good luck to anyone that is starting or thinking about it. It’s a great experience.
