Quit Smoking
I stopped coughing!! 2 years ago

I smoked cigs for 8 years. I was totally addicted. First thing in the morning, cig. Last thing at night, cig. All day long my day was divided up into when I’d next get to smoke. I’d smoke more than a pack a day. I’d buy cheaper, less nutritous food because I had to buy cigs. I tried quitting a few times before. The last cold turkey attempt I had the most godawful withdrawal, I felt like I was in that scene in ‘Trainspotting’...horrible!! The patch finally did it for me (though it gave me horrid nightmares).

Its a new life, that’s for sure, because my old one completely revolved around the addiction. I understand the allure of smoking 100% and think of it fondly sometimes…it’ll catch you offguard…just one cig, you’re not addicted anymore, no big deal. NOPE! Not One Puff Ever!

I suggest: Oral substitutions! Try to be low-cal, but peanuts sooo helped me. I’d eat peanuts in the shell when I would normally smoke. I overdosed on mints also. Took up doodling on the phone instead of smoking, etc.

I AM 9 MONTHS SMOKE FREE! Trust me, this is really worth doing!

clean up my house and keep it clean
i need motivation D: 2 years ago

Today was gonna be cleaning up day!! Like every other day this past week. i got some things done, but not the major stuff, not nearly enough. I need motivation…gah! I just wanna put all my stuff in boxes and drop it off at goodwill and be done. Except I did that last year, and my places was still a mess. lol…

learn archery
Practice... 2 years ago

Like anything practice is needed to learn archery, practice and patience!

But i would also say you need a decent teacher as well. Someone said they were hitting their arm the whole time they were learning, an aware teacher would have immediately seen what the difficulty was and would have corrected the way you were holding the bow which would eliminate the problem of the string hitting the arm. I’ve been practicing archery on and off for 15 years, its a great hobby! Its good to have someone more experienced than you look at your form while you practice, even if you’ve done it for 15 years!
