Here’s the list I’m working from (the book I have is the 2005 edition with Jack Nicholson on the cover) – http://www.listsofbests.com/list/43635
I didn’t count movies that I saw ages ago and can’t remember whatsoever or movies that I have only seen parts of. I only checked off movies that I watched carefully all the way through and have a pretty clear vision of in my memory. Unfortunately, this cut the number of movies seen drastically. But I want to do this to enrich my life, not just to get it over with and check it off my life list. Just gotta keep reminding myself of that…
Good luck to everyone working toward this goal!
Last movie watched from the list:
The Apartment (1960) – it was really good; recommended! Billy Wilder was a brilliant director (and writer). My favorite film of his is Sunset Boulevard (1950) – check it out if you haven’t seen it yet; it’s on the list!

This is a constant struggle, but I’m on my way, little by little. Our water heater recently sprung a leak & it appears we’re going to have a buy a new one – even though finances have been especially tight the past few months. But I’m making the best of it: at least cold showers make me use less water b/c I’m in such a hurry to get out! And we’ve been heating water up in pots on the stove to wash dishes & laughing about how we feel like old-fashioned pioneer folks – it’s really not that bad, actually! At least we have running water, unlike so many in the world without access to ANY clean water. Looking at things from a different perspective can really change your outlook on things. But I still miss my warm showers! :)

I set this goal for myself to remember to get online everyday & visit websites that give charitable donations per free click. Here’s a list of some of the sites I visit. All are free and just require usually only 1 or 2 clicks of your mouse. The amount per click donated is nominal but when many click, a lot of money is raised. For example, this shows that on Aug. 31, The Hunger Site received 116,816 clicks, which amounted to 132,002 cups of food donated to the hungry!
I’m aware that this list looks a bit long & if you don’t have time to visit them all (though you’d be surprised how little time it takes), it’s better to visit a few (or even 1) than none at all.
