first year living in boulder basically did the colorado pass mtns over and over.
breck abasin vail berthoud keystone winter park and more abasin. Next moved out to steamboat, stagecoach area, rocked that for 2 seasons, then to tahoe—heavenly , sierra, squaw & kirkwood. . .

since then, 5 or 6 years have passed and ive found myself far away from the mountains, and far away from my kwa. . (chicago, nyc.)i sure got back for a few quickie visits, but its not the same.

very grateful, very very grateful, to now find myself headed back to boulder, for grad school, which will be base camp for the next few years.

to be able to be back in ski country where i can experience and commune with life on skis . . . its like heaven and powder is ambrosia

when i was a kid
i would have loved to have seen a leopard, a lioness, and maybe even a giraffe with my own eyes. .
now id like to take a lover to the wild . .
maybe a kid one day . .
but it also means experiencing more of life on the edge, off the edge, straddling that ledge . . . traveling to remote places, being spontaneous, going with the flow, being part of a wild communal experience like a burning man maybe . . .

and that painting – her self portrait—she was looking out the fire escape, with her beautiful hair swung over her shoulder.
She painted her moment of realization that her guy probably was not gonna come, and that she was going to live a fabulous life.

and in seeing it, i too felt like i was knowing that exact concept. .

It was a moment that allowed her to set out on her authentic course of fabulousness.

Part of it was getting herself a loft
(she had once upon a time promised herself she’d do it again)

she walked right into the loft of her future lover
who rented it to her; he shared her dream aesthetic and lifestyle
and now they have their dream home in montana and their chi loft

how dreamy it all is.

and exotic plants . . .

ok, i have to take these courses
and they will inevitably help me in the next 2 years at school and beyond. but it’s summer and i want to play!

well, sadly i missed out on a lot of the tri-training programs this summer and i dont see this happening by august. however, maybe after i move to boulder i can find a good tri club that works with my schedule, and train for a tri by bday 31.

yay!! when my acceptance came, i had tears in my eyes, joy and relief washed over my entire body and a month later, i’m still reveling in it.
i realize the journey is only about to begin and I am facing two years of intense work, but I am so overjoyed that i am finally on the right path, or the path I have been working towards for the past 3-4 years. god bless.
