Got rid of all sorts of stuff today. I’ll be giving family and friends some of my unused things (Including my bass guitar) and then sending the rest to goodwill. I originally was going to do some sort of ‘100 things’ challenge but what I realized is that since I already live pretty simply, what I need to do is just keep an eye on what is accumulating, and keep down clutter and consumption.
This should help.

Well… I live on my own now, I can slowly pay for going back to school, and my freelancing work seems pretty steady and reliable.
For me, financial independence is simply earning more than you spend, and not having to ask people for handouts.
At least for the last 6 months, I’ve been able to do this, which means I think I’ve reached my goal.

I didn’t succeed on this goal but it did get me to talk to a few people.
It seems a little silly to keep starting over though…

1.0, after 21 months.
Software is never done, but this is what I was looking to accomplish :)

I bought 10 ride train passes and netflix instead of pay-per-view
getting some discounts there and having a fixed rate to pay will help me from impulse buying and also make it easier to budget cash out. It’s little stuff, but I bet I’ll see a difference!

I’m not sure exactly what this goal means. I guess it really means not to be doubtful, but I think that I’d rather focus on more direct goals.

I’m up to 3 in the last couple days. One I have no meaningful way of contacting… the other two I hope to see again some time.
I realize this goal might seem a bit ostentatious, but really I’m just trying to break this shyness of mine.
So far, it’s been helpful to overcome my fear a bit…

Hah, 1 last week. Let’s restart again starting tomorrow

I’ve prepared almost all my meals myself for the last two weeks, and i’ve yet to burn the house down or die from food poisoning. That was the extent of my intentions for this goal, so I am going to mark it done.

I’ve only eaten meat once in the last two weeks and had no trouble slipping back into a vegitarian diet. I feel like I’ve made this a habit now, so I’m closing the goal.

both for my health and kindness to the creatures.
why are animals so delicious? I really wish I could some how eat them and have them not be harmed at the same time.
Wow… that’s a scary thought.

It is the most appealing GTD system i’ve seen, and using it today was wonderful. I’ll see how it works for me, but only if I give it a week or so. (I never manage to keep the habits up long enough to set)

I am still trying to figure out how to actually cook, but I’m preparing all my own meals, at least for the next few weeks.
Trial by fire. :)
