take a grand tour of Europe
Planning my trip 1 year ago

I am planning to take the train to Istanbul in Spring 2008. If my leg is stronger I plan to take the train through eastern europe and then come back through Italy stopping in Rome, Florence, Bologna and the like. I plan to take 2-3 weeks so this may not quite constitute a Grand Tour on a Victoran scale but it will quite do for starters

listen to the whole of the In Our Time archive
Broaden my mind 1 year ago

I am keen on this Radio 4 programme but it is broadcast when I am at work. With the advent of podcasting/ downloading I have no excuse but to listen to the archive programmes and gain a wider knowledge of the varied subject matter it presents. I have give myself six months which at an average of 3 per week should be perfectly feasible. BUT gregory.. you must pay attention

make a full recovery from my knee operation (read all 2 entries…)
Progress report 1 year ago

I am flying back to Jersey tomorrow and therefore am drawing a line under this entry on the basis that in effect I have completed my task. I am still on the “watch list” when it comes to reinfection but all the signs are good that I have made a full recovery. Not sure what I have contributed or learnt from it as I am not greatly in touch with my power of healing or postive thinking but I am grateful to the powers divine and temporal for all their efforts.
