Being able to dive dry definetly opens up new opportunities, like diving in the middle of the winter, and diving on weeknights without having to live with that crusty salt feeling.

On the other hand, count on having to carry at least 2 more bags of equipment.. welcome to cold water diving

learn how to drive stick-shift

It’s worth doing if you like driving on twisty backroads, or if expect to rent a car in a foreign country. Otherwise it’s a pain in the ass.

learn how to ride a motorcycle
best way to get around 3 years ago

screw Volkswagon commercials, on the road of life there are passengers and RIDERS. It’s been more fun/thrilling/dangerous/difficult than I ever imagined it would be, but I’m definetly sticking with it. It’s like riding a mechanical animal that can go 0-60 in 3 seconds, and accelerates just as well beyond that. There’s no feeling like it.

There’s also so much skill involved. Beyond plain mechanical skills, there’s riding safely- meaning extremely defensive driving. I don’t suggest anyone looking to prove anything to learn how to ride, because that person will inevitably kill themselves. I still don’t consider myself very good, but that’s the coolest thing- it’s a continual learning experience
